Order Stuck on "Order Received"

I have checked my order online and for two days the order has been stuck on "Order Received". I have already received a confirmed pre-authorization on my credit card for the total amount of the order. I don't understand why the "payment validated" step does not indicate complete online. The order billing & shipping is the same, don't really understand what the hold up is. Some help on this would really be appreciated. Thanks :smileyhappy: K.

Hello. Welcome to the forums.

If you could provide more detail as to what you ordered other people like myself can usually look up the product and determine what the hold-up is. I could guess that it is something not at Best Buy's warehouse and that it needs to be ordered from the manufacturer. This would be why it is only "order received" and not "in processing" or anything else at this point.

The pre-authorization is computer-driven, and happens almost automatically. The actual charge doesn't occur until the item ships to you.

It was a computer, and stated "in stock". I do understand about authorizations and it being computer driven as well as the charge not taking place until shipment. I do virtually all my shopping online. I was a bit confused on why the "payment validated" step was not complete. I never shopped online with BestBuy. You're right, it could be shipped from the manufacturer. It would have been nice if that was the case, to be indicated on the product page. Thanks for your input.

Hi SistaK,

 

I’m not sure why this order took so long to process, and I truly am sorry if this didn’t meet your expectations of us. I did look at your order today, and it looks like this has now gone through. I show this computer has shipped, and is scheduled to be delivered by UPS tomorrow 2/20/2013. Let me know if you need anything additional.

Hello Allen, I did receive the item as you indicated. The problem was that the item was received defective (in non working order) I had to return the order & it was delivered back on 2-22-13. I still have not received a return confirmation or a refund. I will send you my case number (by private message) for this issue so maybe you can look into it. Thanks
