Re: Online Order

The way its supposed to work, is that the store gets the order and an employee physically locates the item, bringing it up to the Customer Service Desk putting your and your mother's name on it. Then pressing the buttons on their end that sends your mother the confirmation email.

The online inventory is based on a "snapshot" of the store's inventory of the night before. It is entirely possible that the store only had 1 of the item left the night before and sold it before your mother's purchase. If this occurred, then the employee trying to locate it isn't going to find it and the confirmation email isn't going to go out.

Next up - if the store is very busy with customers and all the employees are helping them, then there isn't someone available to physically hunt down your mother's purchase until after the store closes and again, the confirmation email doesn't go out.

Its very very difficult for one person to buy something online and have someone else pick it up, especially because they will ask for the credit/debit card used in the store when you go pick it up, and if you're in a different city than your mother... they won't give it to you. This happened to me when I made a purchase myself with my own credit card. I didn't have it with me and had to go get it in order to get my online purchase in-store.

Hopefully you were able to get yours though.
