Need Answers and Refund

I purchased a refurbushed Olympus Digital Voice Recorder DM-420 online for 63 dollars.  I used a $50 giftcard and payed the rest with paypal.  I received an email that said one of the payment methods failed.  I called the contact center to figure out what went wrong.  They said the paypal transaction didn't work.  I gave them my debit card number over the phone to complete the transaction.  I was charged the full 63 dollars to my debit card instead of the 13 dollars left over after using the gift card.  Now my gift card has a balance of $0 and I was charged $63 to my debit card.  So I have paid $113 for an item that cost $63 dollars. Please look at my order record and figure out where the 50 dollars on the giftcard went.  

 

 

Also, now I have a charge to my debit card of 44.64 and 5.36 from Best Buy in Richfield MN which I did not  make.  I have already contacted BestBuy via email and phone and haven't gotten any answers.
I have now been charged 163 dollars for an item that cost 63 dollars.  I received the voice recorder and it is good but I only bought it cause I had the 50 dollar gift  card and I would have only paid 13 dollars of my own money if this had not happened.

I appreciate you taking some time to contact us about your order that you placed on BestBuy.com.  I am sorry to hear that you were seeing additional charges on your account for the purchase, especially when the gift card was already redeemed.

 

Using the email address that you registered on the forums, I was able to find the order.  It looks like when the PayPal didn’t go through, the order had to recharge and didn’t recognize the gift card initially.  Both the charges you saw on your account ($44.64 and $5.36) were the value of the gift card.  I was able to get it figured out and you should see your account fixed within 3-5 business days.  If you don’t, please let me know by sending me a private message via the link in my signature.
