Purchased new Sony Altus ALT-A33PC wireless PC Music transmitter and receiver.  Real compatibility issues, but finally got it to work - but that's beside the point..  You are supposed to get 100 Free music downloads from Sony MusicPass with the purchase of this device.  Problem is, when you enter the requested information on the website, it doesn't work.  AND, no one can tell me how to get the downloads.  Sony tells me to contact BestBuy.  BestBuy tells me they have no idea.  I'm thinking about returning the item and contacting the Fed Trade Commission to lodge a complaint for false and misleading advertising by both Sony and BestBuy. Has anyone else had a similar experience, or found resolution to this problem?

Thank you for posting on our forums. I was saddened to hear about your troubles trying to obtain the 100 free MusicPass downloads. I can imagine your frustration so I am sorry about that.

Can you do me a favor and click here to see if this is the site you have been trying to sign up on? If so, did you click on “Contact Support” on the bottom right? This is the only route I can find to sign up for these free downloads. Please let me know if you have tried this, I will see what I can do to help you out if this doesn’t work.

Jesus,  Thank you for your concern.  The problem with the Contact Support link, is that you need a PIN NUMBER to submit a request to them.  Guess what, the only way to get a PIN NUMBER is to have Sony assign one to you when you submit your model # and serial #.    Catch-22.  Very dissapointing to be cheated out of a hundred downloads, but I'll get over it.  MC

I've gotten nowhere with all this.  Rather than be cheated out of $90 or so worth of music downloads, I am returning this Altus unit back to Best Buy next week.  I'll figure out another way to stream music to my home audio system.  Although more expensive, it looks like Cisco has come up with a line of new products for doing this. This whole experience has been worse than trying to deal with the Columbia Record Club, or cancel an AOL subscription.  Sony and BestBuy should not make offers that they cannot stand behind.

Jesus -  That would be great. I appreciate your efforts on my behalf.  Thanks.   (The last support person I spoke with at Sony told me he thought Best Buy would be able to just give me a Sony Music Pass card.)   Any thoughts on that?
