A news article from around the time CC shut down..
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505125_162-28241493/ei
"But the financial crisis hit and with it, the commercial paper crunch meant that vendors were not willing to supply Circuit City with goods, fearing that they'd be trapped if the firm suddenly sold off stores."
Customer service is not mentioned once. I know, I know, research is hard.. ![]()

Hello BarbaraInFL,
I think Tom Hanks said it best in "Forrest Gump": "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." This can relate to almost any given situation, life in general, or in your specific situation, a Toshiba laptop online order that has taken a turn for the worse. You expect it's going to be an easy transaction with your laptop arriving in time for Christmas, when all of a sudden, Christmas has come and gone and your laptop is nowhere in sight. In a panic, you seek immediate assistance, thinking that we'll be able to save the day, but alas, even that doesn't help get your laptop. What a mess!
How's that for an introduction? Now onto business. It's warming to know that Tasha was able to shed some light on the subject, but obviously this hasn't solved your situation. I know that you're still without your laptop and I want to express my deepest apologies that it's taken so long to fulfill your order. Hear my words as this was never our intention, and while I realize you may hold an opposing view, we truly care about our customers and want to resolve your situation as quickly as possible.
To that end, I've alerted our Dotcom Team about your issue and as soon as I know anything more, I'll share details with you via private message. Viewing private messages can be done by clicking the icon in the corner while you're logged into our forums, and again, I'm terribly sorry for what's happened with your order.
Sincerely,
