Idiots running customer service

I received an email about a special event occuring on 7/24/2011. It provided a link to see which stores are participating. The link sends you to a best buy page that has no content. I attempted to call customer service. They told me they do not have a list of stores that are participating and that I'd need to call EACH STORE in my area and ask them personally. Really??!!!! Customer service doesn't have this information?!!!  

 

Maybe HHGREGG will "help" to get Best Buy's @ss in gear.

How many stores are in your area? 3000? There's 3 where I live, and I'm pretty sure I could find 2 minutes out of my day to call each one for a 5 second question.

That aside, websites break sometimes, sucks, but it's true.

You have missed the point...and there are about 5 stores, each that never answer the phone. Why dont you call them for me so that you can be on infinite hold. Do you work for Best Buy or something?

15122....good luck. and there is nothing in your message about not working for best buy. perhaps the mobile version doesnt show that.

and for the mentally challenged, the whole point of this post was: "customer service should have known what stores were participating. they should not have told me to call every store within 15 miles."

and works fine. I don't know anything about your area but it doesn't appear that anything in your general vicinity was participating.
