I never recieved my order

Hello,

 

Okay here's my situation.  I wanted the Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital Camera but I was paying with cash and credit so I couldn't order it online. So I went to this best buy an hour from my house and they placed a customer filfillment order, now on the paper they printed for me the estimated date of delivery was 4/9/2009.  On that day my wife was home,. . . no package(me + no package = Upset), on the 10th. . . no package(me + no package = PISSED!!).  So I tried calling the 800 number but it was late and they told me to call back the next day which was today so I did, I ask for Customer Fulfillment, who do I get Geak Squad(me + getting connected with the Geaks = Upset) so I ask Geak Squad to transfer me, they say okay then I'm connected to. . . the dial TONE(me + Dial TONE = PISSED!!).  So I call back agin, then again, and again, on the fifth time I was told by someone the costomer fulfillment department isn't open on the weekend(me + being lied to + having to call five times to be lied to = Super Duper PISSED OFF!!) that was while I was at work.  I get home from work still no package, I call the store talk to a manager they tell me the order was delivered on 4/8/2009 at 5:something p.m.(me + hearing that = tears). They did give me the tracking number at that point though and I went to the ups website and it said delivered and left on my front porch.  Now for my most important question. . . What do I do Next??  Someone please Help Me. .  please and whatever you do. . . don't/do NOT connect me, refer me, or send me to Geak Squad!  Okay but seriously can someone please help. . . Thanks.

Why in the heck is Best Buy not requiring signatures on delivery?  That is beyond ridiculous.  There have been like 3 or 4 of these stories just recently on here, and every single time its the same thing... UPS left it on the porch without requiring a signature.  All Best Buy has to do is say that signature is required, and UPS won't do this.  Insane, especially for such expensive products.  Heck, NewwEgggg even requires UPS signature on a $10 memory card... let alone the super duper expensive stuff!

 

Anthony, I am sure one of the community connectors on this site will be in touch with you early next week to get this all straightened out.  Best of luck... and when you get it, enjoy your new camera!  Those 5D's are awesome.

I agree with Aryq about not requiring signatures, it's stupid.

 

However there is a different number (as I'm assuming they probably gave you 800 433 5778 which will take you to Geek Squad) that you can call. Try 888 Best Buy (888 237 8289) and ask for Best Buy dot com support. As long as you have the order number, they can track it for you and, if needed, reship the item back out.

 

Just an option to try until the community connectors come around. Since it's the weekend, it may take them a couple of days. Be patient and they'll help ya out. :smileyhappy:
