A couple of months ago (yes it is past the warranty time), I had bought the Motorola ii from the Best Buy in Olympia WA. Before buying this phone, the best buy employee told me that the Android version on the ii was 2.1. She had also told me that I could get some service in my area but not the best..But she told me that it will still work. I also knew nothing about boost using more than one tower (which is the sprint one) ... And that was the difference between me having service at all...iden phones do not work where I live. I spent about $400 on this phone with confidence and the understanding that it had Android 2.1 and reception. A couple of months later (and many frustrated moments of trying to get my apps that I used to have on my previous phone to work and trying to figure out why they sold me a phone that does not work in my area) I found out that this phone was worse than I thought: It has Android version 1.5 (eeek!) and it uses the nextel tower, which is not close to where I live at all!
I had called Best Buy, and I got to talk with the manager of the cell phone department. He admitted fault on his employee telling me that she was new and didn't know what she was doing when she sold it to me. I know someone that can testify for that as he was there when I called. The manager told me that since my return policy had expired, the only thing that he can do is switch out my i1 with one of the new Prevails that were coming in shortly after. The Prevail is the other Android phone from Boost Mobile. It uses the sprint tower.. So it would work a lot better.
It has been almost a month, and I found out that Best Buy has them.. and he never called me about it like he said he would. He said he was going to hold one for me and call me when they arrive.
He never did.
I look on this website to find that best buy is no longer selling the i1. ...I wonder why... (<-- sarcasim) This is scandelious, and I want a full refund! I still have the reciept! Big, corporate Best Buy can afford to give me back my $400! That money was left to me from a family menber that has passed, and I am not wasting it on this injustice! I gave up on boost mobile and I had to purchase a new phone with Virgin Mobile because of this. I have wasted too much money on this, and I want my money back. I should be one of those rare exceptions because I feel ripped off! What do I do? Is there authority on this site?? Take me to your leader!! I am very upset! :-(

Hey there. :-) Thank you for your reply. :-)
At this point, however, I want my full refund. I will not lose money over this. I no longer want the exchange. I want my money back, or I will never shop there again. I may also seek legal aid. And I am itching to write a review on this store.. :-( I am mad! I just want my money back! How can I do this?

I mean, I am not even mentioning that on the same purchase, I had bought an original xbox 360 hard drive after I was told by another employee that it would fit into ALL xbox 360's... it turns out that it does not fit on my xbox 360 slim... I live very far away (like an hour an a half) from best buy, so I didn't want to take thatback... but after this phone business, I am very upset!! I only want my money back for the phone... I think that is reasonable.

I'm sorry... I'm not trying to be rude... but employees cannot just mislead people into buying something they thought was one thing and is not. I paid for a lot of applications on the android market... application that I use that does not even work on this phone. I am loosing $$ from this.. and lots of it!
