Help Ipad 2 order cancelled

I placed an order for a ipad 2 last week and I get an email on Sunday saying that the order was cancelled because they were unable to verify information.  It wasn't my credit card because it shows the order was approved and payment is pending.  I used my work address to ship it to.  I don't know what the problem is and can't get anyone on the phone that can answer my questions.  I don't want to reorder it until I know the payment doesn't go through on my credit card.  Please Help!!!

Re: Help Ipad 2 order cancelled

The order didn't go through. What you are seeing is an authorization. This happens sometimes when your billing info doesn't match that of the cards. You can reorder and the other charge will drop off based on your banks policies and best buy plays no further part in that transaction.

Re: Help Ipad 2 order cancelled

Hi Christy_S,

Crystal is spot on: the amount listed on your account is a temporary authorization, not an actual charge.  Best Buy does not collect funds until after an order has been fulfilled, but a hold may be placed on the paying credit/debit card when an order is submitted.  Many banks are able to address these holds in 2-5 business days, but the exact timeframe required varies by financial institution:

I hope this helps.
