Hi Cscrogin,
Thanks so much for reaching out to us and I am so sorry to hear that your account was compromised recently to the point that a large purchase was made against you. I cannot imagine what you must have felt when this happened and I am glad that you were able to put a stop to it before anything was charged.
Using your email address you registered on the forums, I do see that the order was cancelled and any pending authorizations should fall off your account. You can certainly contact your bank or credit card company and ask them to remove the authorization if it doesn’t drop soon. As mentioned by xl, I would certainly make sure that your password is changed and that also I would make sure your credit card information is not linked to BestBuy.com. I’d also make sure that your computer is as secure as possible to hopefully avoid from this ever happening again.
I appreciate you bringing this to our attention and if you have any questions, please let me know.
Regards,

I am seeing stuff all over the web about consumers accounts being hacked. In my case, I have a very secure password and work in a particullarly secure enviornment so I know this is not a case of my password being guessed or keylogging finding my password, I have not used the account in months. They logged in, attempted to purchase a couple itunes gift cards with electronic delivery and then guessed my saved credit card security code. Luckily they never figured out the CID and the order was cancelled.
I have changed my password and removed my saved credit card, this is VERY SKETCHY!!
