I placed an order on December 17, 2011 at a store for an ipad 2. I told the associate that this was a Christmas gift. I was told that delivery by Christmas was guaranteed. My tracking info says that this gift is to arrive on 12/27! So much for that guarantee. I am very disappointed in the customer service aspect of BB. We have been loyal customers for years, but there are plenty of other retailers to choose from.
I understand that things can happen, but this was no delay in UPS. It appears that BB should have send this out on expediated shipping, not standard ground from CA when I live in IN. I ordered on a Saturday, so I realize it could not get shipped out until Monday-Tuesday. Did BB realize this when they guaranteed Christmas Eve arrival?
I am not petty enough to say that BB has ruined Christmas. That is ridiculous. But I am upset with what appears to me as lying about Christmas delivery in order to make money. I will definitely warn people other about this issue and simply shop elsewhere. I have lots of family and friends that shop at BB, but will no longer do so.
I already found this particular gift elsewhere and will be returning this ipad unopened on 12/27 when it arrives.
I have emailed BB on this issue three days ago when my EDD was showing 12/27. I have gotten no reply back and don't expect to because I see that many people are in this situation.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your iPad purchase. I'm sorry that we weren't able to get it to you for Christmas. We did have a deliver-by-Christmas guarantee and in the event that we missed the day, we should have offered you a makegood by email. Did you receive it?
