Gift card not activated

I received a gift card for Christmas from my in-laws and when I went to the store to use it, the clerk said it was not activated and there was nothing she could do.  I do not want to ask them for the receipt, since they probably don't have it anymore and it would be a little awkward.  I tried calling the phone number on the back of the card but that was no help.  It said that the card was not activated, which I already knew.  Can you help me?

I had the same problem and called the number on the back of the card and I ink their fraud team or gift card team looked into it and had the card activated within 24-48 hours. In this case you may need to find out if it was bought at the store or online. You have a better chance of getting it activated if it was bought online. Good luck

It’s always nice to get a gift card as a gift so that you can use it to purchase what you truly want or need. I am sorry to read that the gift card you received from your in-laws came up as being not activated when you tried to use it.

 

I’d be happy to see if we may be able to assist with getting this corrected, but I would need to gather some information regarding the purchase to see what may have happened.
