With larger purchases like the ones you made of the Kindle Touch and Razr Maxx, it can often be convenient to spread that purchase out over time to pay. I am sorry to read that you were unable to take advantage of the 18-month financing offer you had seen online for the Razr Maxx.

When we offer an interest free financing promotion based on a particular dollar amount, this is based on a per transaction total, not per day. Unfortunately, if the two items were unable to be purchased on the same transaction, they would not have been able to be combined to reach the $429 required for the 18-month financing. The suggestion DanK provided of purchasing a gift card in store with the Kindle Touch for the price of the Razr Maxx likely would have assisted with obtaining the necessary purchase amount.

While financing offers may occasionally vary between in store and online, it appears the options that were available for these two items were the same in store as they were online. As DanK mentioned, the 18-month financing that was showing for the Razr Maxx was based on the regular $799.99 price for the phone, or if it were combined with other items at its discounted rate.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately the choice to pay for the items in the same transaction was not in my hands and I did ask the salesperson if I could put everything in one transaction and he told me because they needed to order the phone it had to be a separate transaction. I know in hindsight purchasing a gift certificate might have solved the problem but honestly I did not think there would be a problem because my total purchases were more than the required amount to qualify for the financing offer.
