Disabled veteran treated like garbage by store staff

[ Edited ]

Tonight, 07 March 2012 i had an aweful experience at your store.

I am a disabled veteran with hearing difficulties related to explosions in combat. Tonight when we visited your clarksville TN store the bass from the audio department was extremely loud and excruciatingly painful to me. So loud, the woman manning the door agreed it was painful. We asked one store associate if he could do anything and he said it was not his department and would not do anything. My wife asked the manager if he could turn it down, and he politely turned the noise off. Then as we stepped away from the counter he cranked it back up even louder.

I have been a loyal best buy shopper since they first opened. I was even excited this year as your company will be sponsoring my favorite racing driver. I will NOT ever set foot back in the clarksville store again. I will purchase my electronics elsewhere. I have even contacted my local VSOs (veteran service organizations) about organizing a local boycott of the store and removing the Department of Veteran Affairs requirement that we purchase our government reimbursed electronic aids at best Buy.

I am an extremely loyal person, i fly the American flag, only drive Fords, and will only drink Coca Cola. I used to shop only at best buy for electronics. Spending thousands of dollars a year at the store right here in clarksville TN purchasing electronics to help me cope with my disabilities. I will never purchase anything with a best buy logo on it again.  I will not purchase any of Matt Kenseths best buy gear this year. In fact i will support another driver all together. I was there to spend over 2000 dollars on a new computer. Because of your managers actions Sam's club got my buisness instead.

Your staff are rude, i feel ridiculed, humiliated, ashamed, and let down by your company.

This is how YOUR company treats a disabled veteran.

This is a bit off topic, but I wasn't aware that Sams Club sold Apple computers.

Re: Disabled veteran treated like garbage by store staff

I know what you mean. I was treated badly and embarrassed in public today at Best Buy..

I don't care about the measly sum of money that I was denied for the return. It is the excruciating ordeal I had to go through.

I was loyal as loyal can be with Best Buy as my "go to" store. They made me feel worthless. As did the woman at 1 888 BESTBUY.

Again, you did not read. this person did not say that he bought an Apple computer at Sam's. The nost appropriate reply would be that you were sorry he had to be treated the way he was. Can I ask what country you are writing to us from?

Re: Disabled veteran treated like garbage by store staff

It is a country where best buy customers are in utopia. There are no customer service nightmares. The place where the corporate ladder runs high into the sky and their wealth only limited by the speed at which the poor uninformed consumers continue to spend at this ridiculous place. Oops- alarm went off, time to wake up.

I know that he don't state that he was purchasing an Apple computer but since those are pretty much the only standard, off te shelf computers that cost that much I made an educated guess. Not many computers cost that much other than specialty computers (gaming rigs - though those are typically custom built for the custer online) and Apple computers. I am curious where you are taking this, but I'm writin this from the US. :smileyhappy:

I think hes trying to figure out where they take former best buy employees to de-program them- remove all the training and deceit from their sales tactics so they can return to normal lives in the US.
