Delivery and Server

So is the server really down? I was told the reason why my TV being delivered today was a no show, was due to the server. When I called to ask what happened, as I took off work early to be home, delivery had no idea why i wasn't contacted and told my TV was now a special order and can't be delivered until the 20.  I have read numerous complaints though in the last month of people being told the server was either down or being updated and delivery horror stories. The latest response I received after hours of customer service was that the system just needed to update so they could hopefully set me up to have a tv shipped in the next couple days. Should I trust them or do I need to go ahead and go somewhere else? I appreciate all honest help. Thanks,

John

Re: Delivery and Server

It has nothing to do with the server, its the fact that they has a horrible warehouse and delivery system and horrible customer service as well. See my post about waiting a month to get a washer/dryer. And the fact that rather than squeeze in an extra delivery, best buy is willing to lose yours and my sale!

Re: Delivery and Server

Actually, the OP is correct. I work in HT scheduling with 1-800-GS and our scheduling system was going through an unexpected update on Monday, October 5th. It was a little difficult because the stores, techs, and call centers all use the same scheduling software and we were all have issues. I'm really sorry that happened to you.

Nothing I post is an official statment of Best Buy or Geek Squad, it is only a helpful opinion!
