Dear Walrus, Guess I am confused by your comments. In my post before it got shutdown there was 94 replies, 113 Kudos & 732 views. So in your personal attack you say I do not contribute to the forum! If my post was so pointless why did so many people respond? Actually I also responded in other peoples posts if you looked a little harder. Will I respond again if my item arrives, yes actually I will. Also will respond if Best Buy does not send the $30 gift card they promised. Seems your post it not really helping calm down unhappy customers in my opinion. This forum is full of unhappy customers if anyone at Best Buy would really notice. At least I had the respect not to slam other members regardless of their opinions. Freedom of speech is here for a reason. Perhaps we have been spoiled by the likes of Amazon& New Egg and thought Best Buy would be the same. Our mistake sorry for all not having a non politically correct opinion. Customers are kind of required for a online business!

People are confused about what BBB is. It is not a consumer organization. It has no special powers. It is an organization for businesses, and makes money from them. It makes money by collecting customer complaints, then approaching the business to see if they want to join the BBB to "fix" the complaints. "fixing" the complaint can be as easy as sending the complainer an email. The actual problem does not have to be addressed. That is how businesses that aren't very good maintain their A+ BBB rating. Filing a complaint with the BBB does virtually nothing except enrich the BBB, but the myth of the BBB helping people persists. Sure, sometimes it might get some attention for you as a customer, but the attention may or may not help your problem.

Hi , Thanks for the info on the BBB have read that also. Guess in my case my item might be arriving today. Using the BBB may work for attention purposes its hard to tell:-) Buying by credit card is always the best option just in case of problems. We would all not be in this boat if BB had been more up front about shipping times.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for my Cyber Monday stuff, although most of it has actually shipped now. (each item in a separate box apparently!)

If you dont like BB just dont buy from them anymore. Honestly filing a case with the BBB does nothing. They will add your claim to there long list of complaints and add it to their website. They dont even bother to contact business's anymore with these issues. Your spinning your wheels.
If you dont like it, dont support it.. Thats how things get fixed.

Filing a complaint against the company was probably unneccesary as the community connectors here from Best Buy Corporate are as direct as you can get to resolve all issues with Best Buy in general, however, some people like to take it an extra step. Very little shoppers know about the community here, and the store I go to in my local area don't have a clue what I'm talking about when it comes to these forums. So....... I suggest you tell your friends all about these forums instead of encouraging them to file BBB complaints which strain the resolution process as opposed to getting help directly from here avoiding the filing of complaints.

The triple B's aren't as effective as they were back in the day. They're actually kind of a waste of time IMHO. The most effective method that still works to this day is word of mouth. Great thing is now a days we have all kinds of social tools to get the word out. I've posted on Facebook, Twitter etc. to get the word out. Little ol' me was able to stop 2 people from experiencing how horrible Best Buy is. I did much more then BBB ever could, especially since my brother just bought a 50 inch lcd the other day for the whole family this christmas. Guess where he didn't buy it from..........
