One of two things happened my account got hacked and now I cant log into my account. Someone actually bought something and it ended up on my credit card which I have now canceled. The other thing is Best Buys database got screwed up again, see link. http://hdguru.com/best-buy-customer-data-hacked/4854/ I see I'm not the only one who has problems.

After Spending 4+ hours on the phone with Customer Service and getting transferred to person to person over the period of 2 days I'm filling complaints to Federal, State and Local agencies. All I asked was for the bestbuy.com account to be locked. I was told it can not be locked by them and there is no one they can send me to to have it locked. All I wanted was for my information to be protected and it was not and as of this is still not. I have spent another 10+ hours trying to protect myself from further breach of information. Whats else is frustrating is no one out side of this message center has tried to contact me or let me know they are working on it or received it. I'm surprised Best Buy is not taking this more serious. I'm sure they will say they are taking it serious but they need to have steps in place to prevent this sort of thing. One red flag should have been that I don't live in Canada. I'm sure I wont have to pay for the small amount that was charged to my credit card and even if I did that's not what concerns me. What concerns me is that there is no way for anyone at Best Buy that can freeze my online account to prevent further breach of information or give me back control of my account so I can remove the information.

I still have not been contacted, Filled reports with Federal Trade Commission, My State Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and the Police. Best Buy I think Needs to review their policies.

If I had these issues, I would put a call into Patrick Kelley at Corporate Office.  He is lead or head counsel for best buy.  Maybe his office can grasp the fact that your account is being utilized by someone else and possibly for continued fraud.
