This is great news! I ordered the morning of 3.3 and I'm still showing backordered. I keep checking availability from my local stores to see if they get it 1st and possibly get lucky to switch my order to store pickup.

Hoping something changes today. Would love to have it by the weekend.

I ordered later in march & my order says in process of being fulfilled (?) don't know exactly but I have my fingers crossed (body only here)

I Pre-ordered the kit back on march 7th and still nothing.  All i know is if i see this camera in stores before my order has been ful-filled I will not be a happy camper.  If best buy cant fill all preorders before they hit the store then someone needs to be fired.

From what I understand (which I could be wrong), the physical and online stores act independently of each other. I ran into this "black hole" of not knowing where an order is online once before when ordering a Mac Pro. It was backordered for a bit and never could get an estimate of when. For that I just got frustrated, canceled and bought elsewhere.

Luckily I'm not in a mad rush for this, but this does try my patience. Just wish there was more information vs next to none.

From reading this thread it does sound like some of these have started to ship. I wanted to let everyone know that I am waiting to hear back if there is any update I can share publically on the status of these pre-orders. I orderd on 3-2  and my order says it is in the process of being fullfilled. Status changed to being fullfilled on the 25th. Called today and They said they did have the camera in stock and it should definatly ship sometime this week. I replied that is a pretty broad timeframe and they said that was the best they could give me. Such a wealth of info from best buy. You would figure since they have got their preoders out days behind every other retailer they could at least do there best to speed up the process when they did get the camera. At the very least try to give some better info than sometime this week.

order finally shipped , ordered on 3-2 around 5:30 so i assume everyone elses orders have either shipped or will be soon.
