What is going to be Best Buy's ship/instock date for this going to be?
Canon says's March 22nd is the retail sales date and that all retailers will have it before then.
I call best buy to inquire about my .com preorder and they keep telling me it's backordered and will soon be cancelled if they don't receive inventory from canon???
I preordered it because I want to purchase it, not because I want my order cancelled.
I've called a few times and everytime I call i receive a different answer as to when I'll get it.
Yesterday they told me march 31st. Today they said they don't even know if they are getting it now.
I can place a new order and it says it will arrive on march 22nd-27th??
I wish I could get a straight answer!

Wait a minute! Are you saying that each time you call; you tumble to a new person or the same person? Because I sense some kind of misunderstanding going on with the transaction you made. I guess you just have to be patient a bit and see how they’re going to sort things out for you. I have known best buy to be straight forward and time conscious. I don’t think your case is going to be different.

It's hard to tell if you're being sarcastic or serious in the reply.
Getting bounced around from Customer Service is not exactly a new thing - and considering someone is spending upwards of $4000 at Best Buy, you would expect they would have answers and treat it very gingerly.
This is a high demand item and if the pre-order cancels and Best Buy doesn't fulfill it, it will likely be weeks before you can get it in stock from someone.
Good questions OP - let's see what BBY has to say.

I'll check at work tomorrow to see what in-stock dates my computer gives me on the model. However, that will only apply to the TN/GA area that our DDC supplies. Will get back with you once I have something to report.

I agree this entire process has been frustrating. I have heard from canon rumors that lots of people have already received their cameras. I just want an update with an estimated shipping time.

Same here!
I see people posting all over the internet that they are receiving their cameras. While I don't have a problem with that, I am rather frustrated that Best Buy can't give me any solid answer on when mine will even ship - they just keep telling me that my order will be cancelled in April if Canon doesn't fulfill the product request.
That is very very very annoying.
I've called a couple different times and have spoken with different customer service associates and everyone has given me a different answer.
I love shopping at Best Buy, hence why I made my purchase there...but this is getting to be bothersome.

Agreed! I would like an update on this as well... Wouldn't be the first time best buy has cancelled my camera order (happened on the 5d Mark ii) Happens again & Im heading to B&H photo with my $4,000! believe that! ![]()
