Okay Best Buy please tell me why you are completely deficient at your job? This all revolves around a Dragon Age 2 Signature edition preorder. Why bother offering a preorder if you can't get it to customers on or about the release date? Currently I have emailed Dororty-BBY last night here on the comunity page and she provided no response and I have also called Best Buy to find out where my order is and they aren't exactly sure, they say enroute to a destination processing center, but then again they aren't sure what that means or where that is or exactly how long it will take. I was told my copy of Dragon Age 2 should be here by the 18th. THE 18th????? How is that acceptable when the release was the 8th. I wanted to pick it up in the store and I later got an email saying that was not avail and it would be shipped to my home. When I asked on the phone why this was okay she said it was best buy policy that only in store preorders were promised by the release day, which is funny because here is what the site says about preorders
From http://www.bestbuy.com/site/null/Pre-Order+Video+G
"Pre-order the can't-miss games you gotta have right here. And with our pre-order price guarantee, you can be sure you'll receive the lowest Best Buy release day price.
Pick your platform and check out some of the hottest upcoming titles today."
"Video game pre-orders
Don't miss a minute of game time — pre-order new titles today!
See the selection of pre-orders:"
So one says they promise release day price, other says don't miss any time, but none of those really promise shippment by release, and thats fine, but Best Buy should make it pretty plain that if you order it online that you aren't getting it on release. This feels like a deceptive business practice. If Gamestop can get this right, why can't you best buy, why do I feel like I was tricked?
So here is what I'd like, someone to tell me where my game is? disclousre of Best Buys Preorder policy as it pertains to online orders? and I'd also like to know why I should throw my silver memebership in the trash cancel my cedit cards and avoid bestbuy and its affiliates like the plague?

I've had a similar issue regarding last Sunday's (March 6) Pokemon release.
Now, I'd prepared my son not to expect it on release day - after all it was a Sunday. But, to not ship it until two full days after?!
Adding insult to injury:
No more BB.com preorders for us.
And, given this experience (and others), expectations of racking up Reward Zone points is no longer going to disuade me from considering other merchants from here on. It turned out that some of them were offering some exclusive promos for this release that my boy would have been quite happy receiving - instead of waiting six days to even touch his game.
No merchant is perfect, but how they respond to negative customer experiences, when it is no fault of the customer, is what will define them.

Timemaster11,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Pre-ordering the highly anticipated Dragon Age 2. Now as Crystal has stated pre-ordering the game does guarantee you a copy of the game, getting it shipped to you can delay receiving it if you chose to have it go standard shipping. Occasionally we have games that are "Street Week Choice" where you are guaranteed to get the game on the week of its release. I hope this helps with an explanation of the pre-order delay, and I hope you enjoy Dragon Age 2 when you do receive it!

Keep an eye on the tracking information. I pre-ordered Homefront, which came with a free headset.
Homefront was able to be "store-pickup", but the headset had to be mailed.
I was happy to see on 3/11 that it was shipped since the game launched on 3/15. It took a few days to get the tracking number to register, as I know it normally does, and on 3/15 it was in transit.
When I checked it yesterday, 3/16, it was MISSENT. I'm not sure how that happened.
I'm sure that BB will say it's the post office that did it, still it is annoying that I couldn't just pick it up with my game in the store. I pre-ordered over a month ago, more than enough time to send it to the store on a truck.
Best Buy needs to work on it's follow through for pre-orders. It's a big business and most stores do it. Lately there has been just as many offers given on the day of release as there has been through pre-orders, leaving little reason to worry about pre-ordering to have to wait longer/not received what you expected.

Hello timemaster11,
Thank you for writing in regarding your preorder of Dragon Age II. I'm sorry that we weren't able to provide you your Bioware Signature edition in the timeframe you were expecting. We try to provide as much information as to when you can expect your order as we possibly can. We have an estimation link on our product pages where you can select your shipping method and see an estimation of when it would arrive based on your zip code even before you order; an estimated date range attached to your order confirmation (in your case it should have stated 3/8-3/15); and we also have an online help article entitled Shipping Costs and Timing for you to see the average days in shipping it takes to receive your package once it has been shipped.
The page that you linked looks pretty old. I will see if we can update that language and the links involved, or make sure that it is fully removed from our site. I don't think the GameCube has any more major game releases that anyone would find compelling. I am sorry that you weren't able to get your copy of the game in a much sooner timeframe but hopefully the information I've provided will be of assistance if you choose to shop with us in the future. I've sent you a follow up message that you can view by clicking the envelope shaped link in the upper right hand corner of the page when you are logged into the forum. Thanks for gaming with us and I hope you are enjoying the fierce action of Dragon Age II!
