About 6 weeks ago, I needed a washer so we went to the nearest Best Buy and picked one out. They delievered the washer and hooked it up and everything is good -- right? No.
A few days ago, I dropped something in between the washer and dryer so I had to scoot it out a few inches to get between it and the dryer. Well, when kneeled down, I saw there is a nice dent along the bottom of the washer. The way the metal is bent it also is dented at the top.
I called Customer Service who told me that the best they could do was a $50 gift card back to Best Buy because it's outside 30 days. But how is it fair that some slimy delivery guys put the washer back in a place where we would never know that the machine was damaged and just went about their day?
A gift card is a start but it doesn't fix the dent. So I have purchased dented washer at full price. Awesome. If I ever wanted to sell the washer, there's money I would have to subtract because of "Gus & Jake" the covert washing machine cover up delivery agents. I spend quite a bit of money at Best Buy as I am the lead tech support for my company and frequent BB as a means to replace computer equipment, networks and procure iPads for our C.E.O., C.I.O., Presidents and VPs.
Please address this... Thank you.

Where shall I begin? You were LUCKY to even get a gift card...Take it and run!!! BBY return policies are DESIGNED to always assume you are trying to scam them. It will take a moderator of this forum from 3-5 BUSINESS days to get back to you. When this happens they will seem to feel your pain but will point out that someone signed paperwork stating there was no damage. They will be very sorry but nothing will be done to rectify your situation. I have even been told by BBY "Fanboys" that it is MY OBLIGATION to thoroughly inspect (to the point of actually opening the box, inspecting the item for missing parts doing a physical inspection then plugging it in to see if it actually works). I have even been told that you must do this even when purchasing an item IN THE STORE before you leave! Can you see yourself opening a 55in TV IN STORE and finding somewhere to plug it in before you go out the door? Heck from what I have read you were lucky to even have gotten the washer delivered at all!!!

That's a sizable dent but if it doesn't affect performance I would take the gift card.
For all BB shoppers always inspect the merchandise being delivered to you.

Hi VWilliams24,
No employee of ours should be trying to hide any damage, and I can certainly understand you being upset after discovering the damage to this washer. It is correct that after your 30 day return or exchange period has expired the washer would no longer qualify to be returned or exchanged.
With that said I would like to see if there is anything I can personally do to resolve this for you, and am sending you a private message to gather some personal information. To check your messages you should log into the forum, and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Thanks for posting,

Concern? He just told you it was your fault as the customer for not noticing. And are you saying the people who installed that washer could not see that dent? It's huge! You just paid full price for something worth half that.
