Bait and Switch

Since Friday, 3/23, I have been trying to buy online a nice Samsung TV at the advertised price.  However, for some reason, I was unable to log into my account.  I called online help and they said they would reset the password and I could finish my purchase. My account was never reset.  I called each day and was given the same answer -  Bestbuy would get it fixed and I could finish my purchase.  Even gave me a case number (which still remains unresolved).  Price of the TV went up $400 on Tuesday, 3/27.  I called Bestbuy again and they said they would resolve the issue and I "should be able to get the TV at the price at which it was when I had it in my cart".  Today, Bestbuy said too bad, they wouldn't sell me the TV at the advertised price.  This isn't right.  It seems to me they do not want to honor their price to me.  Seems like a classic case of advertising a product at a certain price but making it impossible to purchase it.  I am disappointed.  All I want is to buy the TV at the advertised price at which I was trying to buy it.  Any thoughts or help?

I could only assume that you wanted it linked to RZ account, if not Crystals idea would be spot on.

Also if you did it as guest you could always lInl the purchase later to your RZ account by entering the PIN at myrz.com

I didn't check out as guset b/c it asked for my email and that was "already registered".  Surprisingly, every time I called, no one offered to do a phone sale.  I didnt think this would turn into such a fiasco. just reset the password and checkout. Not making this up.

Is Best Buy customer service all lip service?  Still no resolution to my open case file as to why I cannot log onto my account.  No word from Jesse from Best Buy's social Media team who I was told would be contacting me.  Still can't buy the tv at the price at which I tried to 1 week ago.  I wonder how Apple would have handled these issues?

This forum isn't set up for instant responses. It can take 3 to 5 business days to get a response from the Community Connector assigned to assist you. Sometimes it's sooner, other times it's longer. How Apple would have handled these issues is neither here nor there. Have a great weekend!

I can imagine how frustrating this would be trying to make a purchase and not being able to access your account.  I was able to locate your cases using your email address and I see that the request was put in to reset your account information.  Typically that only takes around an hour or so, but it could take up to 24 hours.
