Hello, I recently ordered a HP laptop online at bestbuy.com,

• model#  dv7-3079 nr  
• sku#  9980155

When I check my order status it states the laptop is on backorder,and they expect to ship it in 1-2 weeks.

Do backorder items normally get shipped at some point? Or will I receive another e-mail in 2 weeks saying the same thing? 

I would really like to get this particular model!

Can anyone please check to see if my order can be fulfilled? Or if this item is even available at all?

I have the necessary order # and info if needed.

Any help will be much appreciated!

That looks like a wonderful HP laptop-great choice!  I would love to see what I can find out for you regarding your online order. 

Normally, if a product, like your HP laptop goes on backorder; it's because we're awaiting more from the manufacturer. If this is the case, it's tough to distinguish a timeframe when they will be readily in stock.  I truly apologize for any inconvenience you've ran into while waiting patiently for this laptop to arrive.
