I bought my daughter the Sony CyberShot 14.1 MP Camera on 12.3.11 and it was "backordered" and they said itd only take about 2-3 days to ship out... its been 5 days and it hasnt even left the warehouse yet or sent me a notification. i NEED this camera on or before the 14th. and emphasis on NEED. H.E.L.P!!!!!!!

i also ordered the silver DSC-TX10 cybershot on 12/02/11 also on back order.  just earlier i checked my order status and it says "cancelled".  I called customer service and the lady told me that the item is no longer available.  i checked online and tried buying the exact same item and it says that the item will be shipped on 01/11/12.  if the item is no longer available, why is it still posted online?  they have a black one available but they would not give it to me for the same price.  can you help me on this?  thanx

Given the time of year I can certainly understand you wanting to receive this camera as soon as possible, and I am truly sorry for any disappointment this camera being on backorder has caused you. When an item is on backorder we would never be able to say for sure when or if the product would be shipped.

I did look into your order, and I see that this model is still backordered. I have sent an email to a contact at BestBuy.com to see if there is any additional information we have on this, and once I hear back from them I will post back to this thread.

Obviously it is now past 12/14/2011 without getting you this camera. Do you have any specific requests for me? If this is an urgent need my best suggestion would be ordering a different model that isn’t backordered.
