Re: A portal in india pretending to be Best buy

Hello navin4ursmile,

Since you got duped and are the victim, it would be up to you to take legal actions against this India portal. You can send the information to your local Postmaster if they are using the US Mail to send anything fraudulently and the post office will be able to look into things from their end.
If you are in the States, you can contact your Attorney General for your state and file a complaint with them for legal actions.
If you are in India... well then you're out of luck as Best Buy clearly states they will not ship anything internationally, and I'm sorry if you got duped by unscrupulous websites claiming otherwise.

Best Buy has no reason to start any legal action other than seeking to get the portal/website shut down.

Before posting I try to research everything first or use my own experiences. I do not now nor have I ever worked for Best Buy. I work for the competition.
If you respond to a post of mine, I will read it. I may or may not post in the thread again, but rest assured I will read your response :smileyhappy:

I'm going to have to agree... perhaps that's why we have products like Norton 360 which watches out for fake sites.

Re: A portal in india pretending to be Best buy

Best Buy has no grounds for legal action. They aren't disguising themselves as Best Buy (aside from bestbuy in the name of the site), at least, anymore.. Not sure what it was like when you got scammed, but currently there is no use of logos or copyrighted material, and no misrepresentation...

Re: A portal in india pretending to be Best buy

I've read into 100bestbuy and it looks pretty shady to me. Similar to the foreign sellers selling "eyePad" or the infamous apple branded stove top. Hope you get your money back. But everyone is correct, it's on you to bring legal action being the victim. Good luck!

I post on these forums to help. I know that my advice may not be in line with what you believe is fair and just. YES, I do believe that there are employees and managers that are uninformed, difficult to work with...you name it. However, MOST are not like that.

My advice is based on my experiences and common sense.
