Re: 52" Samsung TV

He is being watched my our moderator staff just like everyone else. Truthfully, his comments are no worse than some of the comments from customer who post earlier in these threads. He just has a different view of the situation.

Re: 52" Samsung TV

If the moderators don't like what I'm saying...they can delete my posts...and ban me. As of yet, to your chagrin, I'm still here.

Trust me...in all the threads about this one issue...there has been a lot worse said. You just happen to be one who has a thin skin. I've seen others shake off some nasty insults. My name alone should clue you in on what kind of posts you might receive. As to true loyal Best Buy customers who didn't take advantage of this obviously mistaken situation, I have no beef nor do I intend insult to them. But to those who whine about this...and are getting nowhere quickly...guess that's where I take my shots. I have clearly said if I'm violating their posting policy...ban me. I have seen their presence here as well as employees. If I have stepped over the magic line that says "pffftt...he's toast...ban him"...they'd have banned me.

Bottom line...if Best Buy does something for the whiners/slickdealers/crooks/honest people like Firetiger...yeah...it can help. But when you first register on the bestbuy.com site it has those terms and conditions clearly posted there before you even have the chance of doing business there. Then if an error like that pops up, they clearly outline that policy once more. But you couldn't have had the opportunity to take advantage of that situation WITHOUT agreeing to those terms. Plain and simple.

I gotta admit...the Supers and Admins that I have seen posting here...they've handled it well. That's why they're in their position. I gotta say hats off...cuz if I was in your position...with all the personal insults...I'd have a tough time not going postal in these forums, and worse in person. I've seen customers go off on employees at all kinds of businesses...and they all end up being the idiot in the end...even if they were right. It's how they handle themselves that makes me draw comparisons to those who act that way here. And those here...they can all throw around their "telephone tough guy" persona cuz they have a monitor to hide behind...but ultimately in person...they couldn't back it...

The underlined makes it clear that it's absolutely impossible to ever hold Best Buy to any price they ever list, ever. It's an official "what we advertise isn't what we actually sell" policy, and really does make it false adveritsement.

When you open your own business...and something like this happens...and you don't CYA like Best Buy did...then you deserve to get taken to the cleaners. Businesses are in the business to make money. Not get taken advantage of. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

If you had your own business...you'd cover your own butt any way you could...that's how you stay in business.

What is really says in that underlined statement is "mistakes can happen...and we reserve the right to keep our jobs and stay in business if mistakes do happen." What it doesn't say is "if we screw up...please invite all your friends, family and anyone else you can to come and take advantage of us and possibly cause us to lose tens of thousands...if not millions because of a mistake."

One question...what would all of the whiners and complainers do if Best Buy found out that the site was hacked and it wasn't their fault? Just a hypothetical. It's probably not what really happened...but even then if it was...all of these people would still be wanting their pound of flesh...for $10.

And I also posed the question...when I asked the Best Buy store I shop at about that TV...they said it was discontinued...so are they supposed to re-create these tv's to fulfill these orders if there weren't anymore in stock? lol

I hate tot ell you this but I've yet to see any online retailer that didn't have the same clause in their terms of agreement.

You continue to state that BB has done something illegal. I continue to implore you to file suit if you are so 100% completely sure of yourself.

What can I say? It demonstrates to not actually sell you what they promise to sell you at the price they promised to sell it to you at, ergo, false advertisement.
