I participated in the PayPal intro promo in early November (11-8 to be exact) and purchased a new televsion on BestBuy.com and paid via PayPal.

I was expected the $20 credit in two to three weeks per the promise from BestBuy.com.

It's now been four weeks.

No credit.

What's the hold-up?

I guess misery loves company!! While it still ticks me off that BB is making promises that they can't/won't keep, at least now I know that it's not just some "computer glitch" with my order only. Maybe this means they'll get to it eventually. It just amazes me that one of the brainiacs sitting around the table deciding to do this promotion didn't consider how critical it would be to honor that promise!! They won't allow me to type the name of their competitor, but they need to take a page from a real online store like am a zn!!

The 2-3 week timeframe was from the end of the promotion, which was 11/16.  Given this, the amount should be credited to your PayPal on or around Monday 12/7 - please let me know if it does or if it doesn't, and I'll see what more I can find out!

Thanks for following up!  I actually learned that this was actually a PayPal promotion, not a Best Buy one; therefore, the funds were issued directly from PayPal.  Customers who participated in this promotion should have received an email on or around 12/3/09 with details of the $20 credit.  I'm glad you received yours.

I have still not received mine!!!  Order placed on 11/15.......Site still advertised the promotion at the time I placed the order!!!  Please let me know what is going on!

According to Paypal, "Best Buy pulled that promotion on 11-13-2009."

I respectfully request that someone from Bestbuy contact me to discuss and remedy this situation.  We proceeded with this purchase early (originally we were going to buy in December for Christmas) only because it would save us money.  It was advertised on both Best Buy and Paypal sites.  At the time the purchase was made, it was still present on at least one of these sites.  Therefore the advertising pursuaded me to make a purchase that I would not have otherwise made at the time.  I also made sure there was a banner ad still present at the time the order was placed.  It was present at least on one of the 2 sites.  If Best Buy doesn't honor this fact, then it appears that false advertising has occured.

Although I was qualified, I also haven't received the credit and after a month of bestbuy telling me that it will be given, now they tell me to talk to paypal because they don't have any authority. Isn't this fraud?

Best Buy did contact me and worked to remedy the situation...
