Forever or through the holidays?

by Administrator Administrator on 12-17-2010 09:03 PM

Hi Crystal,

This is a change to the Return / Exchange policy in general, not the holiday-specific policy.

Hi Crystal, this is a non-holiday specific policy change for US Best Buy. Gina

It sounds like a sigh of relief for a lot of customers who had to go through this restocking fee nonsense.

I have a question.  I purchased a laptop as a Hanukah present in early December and returned on the 11th, well within the 14 day return period.  As the new policy wen into effect on the 18th, a week before Christmas, I was charged a restocking fee.  I read an article in the Wall Street Journal and on CNet that Best Buy was going to extend the policy back 30 days as a convenience for customers who recently returned items.  When I go to the store they no nothing about this.  Are the articles accurate?  They say that this is a non-hoiday specific change, but it's kinda coincidental that it went into effect a week before Christmas.
