I don't know how to start my own thread, but how long does a refund take to post to my account for MY OWN MONEY!? I returned something for the amount of $245 yesterday, and it still isn't posted??? THIS IS MY MONEY THAT I NEED TO PAY BILLS. I've been reading some other posts on here, that it's assumed to take 3 to 10 days............... That is completely unacceptable. Can you wait 3 to 10 days for your own money to go back in to your account? I purchased things from Best Buy, because it is in the area and out of convienance of not buying of the internet (which is how I usually buy things anymore, since stores are such a pain anymore). After this, I'm done buying from Best Buy if it is assumed that I HAVE to wait that long to receive my own money back. Ridiculous Best Buy, in this day of you competing with online stores like Amazon, that your return policy is stuck back in the days before competition existed. Waiting, for my own money, is completely unacceptable.

It is not Best Buy that is holding your money it is the bank so you you need to contact them. Bestbuy has to process the return within 48 hrs, after that the bank is where the delay is. If you want to guarantee a faster refund in the future then pay cash but realize that over 800 dollars they wil refund by check that could take upto 10 days
According to the TaxAct website, credit card refunds can take anywhere from two to 30 days before they are complete. The first 24 to 48 hours of this period involve the initial refund with the credit card company. But credit card companies use major banks to supply the funds they lend to cardholders to make purchases, which means that the credit card's policies as well as the bank's policies can delay the refund.
Hope you have a great weekend

Hello Brandon -
Waiting for a refund can be very frustrating and I am sorry that you are disappointed with the processing time for a refund.
While we release funds back to your payment method at the time of the transaction, it can take several days for it to show as available on your financial institution's end.
You should see your refund in 5-7 business days but please do let us know if you experience any trouble.

After talking for several hours with Best Buy customer service, I think I've finally found a workaround:
Don't buy things from Best Buy if you need that money to pay bills.
Hope this helps!

A) I hope you actually held shift whilst typing this out and didn't take the lazy approach of CAPS LOCK
D) ....you somehow managed to nail 'deceptive', we'll chalk that up as a fluke
Bonus) Every retailer will likely follow the same timeframe with a refund. That timeframe has very little to do with said retailer, but moreso to do with your bank applying the funds back to your account. Educate yourself before CAPS raging on a public forum.
