I need someone from Best Buy to actually DO something for me to make up for my loss instead of saying they are sorry and giving me a refund for something I can't purchase anywhere!
I ordered an item that had been out of stock for months and had it shipped to me. It arrived damaged so I took it to my local store because the web site said they had one in stock. When I got there to trade out the damaged item, they didn't actually have it in stock so they took the item I was returning and placed a replacement order telling me it would be in by the 6th of this month.
Today, after hearing nothing about my order, I called to find out what was going on and it appears that the person who did my return did not fully submit my replacement order. Now, I can't get the item from Best Buy or anywhere else because nobody has it any more.
I sat on the phone for an hour tonight trying to get someone at Best Buy to do something other than just say they were sorry. After talking to 5 different people, 4 of whom I could barely understand, I finally got to a manager. As soon as I said what was happening, the phone was nothing but dead air. I stayed on another five minutes before hanging up!
I'm an Elite Plus member! All of that money could have just as easily spent at Amazon and that's exactly where all my future money will be going if Best Buy doesn't give me SOMETHING for all my trouble. You screwed up and I don't see why I have to pay the price. Sure, I can buy the item on eBay for nearly twice the cost but I doubt you'll be willing to buy it and send it to me for the regular price.
Have someone contact me or that's it. I'll write off Best Buy for my future purchases.

I’m not sure what you ultimately purchased, but it sounds like it may have been one of the highly sought after items that disappear from our site quite quickly. While I’m glad to hear you were able to secure an order, it’s incredibly disheartening to hear things didn’t go according to plan and subsequently have been left empty-handed despite your best efforts.
