after purchasing a protection plan for 109.99 for an ipod touch 5th generation. the sales woman told me that best buy was doing something new. the protection plan was 59.99 BUT for 50 dollars more i could add two years to the plan for a total of 4 years. well low and behold after taking it in to be looked at my plan is expired. after talking to an online employee i was told it must have been a PREMIUM plan, and that best buy doesnt have a plan for 109.99. sounds to me like someone skimmed some money for themselves.

Welcome to the Best Buy Community Forums!
I appreciate you letting us know about this situation. Having a Geek Squad Protection Plan to cover your purchases is supposed to make these types of situations simple and we always expect our employees, from top to bottom, to conduct themselves as professional as possible in every situation. I would just as upset if this happened to me.
Though jdogg836 is correct regarding changes being made throughout the years to these plans, I’d love to look into this further for you. Please, private message me with your full name, date of purchase, phone number, address, and e-mail address connected to your BestBuy.com account. I appreciate you taking the time to write us about this. Let me know if you have any other questions.
