Warranty Number #{removed per forum guidelines}

Dear Customer Service Representative 

 

On April 13th, 2017, a purchase was made in Best Buy, Pflugerville, Texas Austin of an action camera GOPRO HERO 5 BLACK, serial number: {removed per forum guidelines}, a memory card ScanDisk of 32Gb for the camera and a LowePro case. 

 

Both the camera and the accessories, were purchased with a Visa credit card, according with the invoice #{removed per forum guidelines} for a total of $432.99 by Ms. Ana {removed per forum guidelines}

 

Taking into consideration the feature that the GOPRO HERO 5 BLACK has of being able to be use in contact with water less than 10m deep WITHOUT CASE, which was not the case, rather it was less than 50cm deep in salt water, with the unfortunate surprise, that water entered its internal components causing damage to it, and disabling the operation of the LCD screen, among other things. 

 

Therefore, considering that the equipment is under warranty, I request your help to analyze this situation. My interest is not the reimbursement of the money, rather the viability of replace the camera with another one, as well as the possibility of sending the camera to Costa Rica.

GoPro’s are a lot of fun to have along on your adventures. I’m sorry to hear that yours may not be working at this time since it didn’t handle being submerged without any other casing well.
