I purchased a toshiba 43 in lcd tv in September 2016. The picture has gone out. I have powered it off several times and no luck. Can I box it up and return to the store I purchased and swap out for a new one under the manufacturer warranty? Please advise.

I’m sorry for my delayed response. We’re still working our hardest to get responses out to everyone that has written in over the past few bust months. I know how frustrating it can be to have a television go out on you, and I’ll be happy to help you get it taken care of.
Toshiba will generally, under their manufacturer warranty, cover a repair of a TV rather than a replacement. On some models they will cover the repair in home through Geek Squad, on some they will cover the repair in home by their own technicians, and on some models you’ll need to ship the television to a service center. The best way to find out if Geek Squad can do the repair in your home would be to call 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (1-800-433-5778). Be sure to have a copy of your receipt handy as they may need some information from that.
If Toshiba doesn’t cover an in home visit through Geek Squad you can contact them directly at this website to discuss setting up a service call from them. If you would prefer to have the work done at a service center I would suggest making a reservation to bring your TV in to your local Best Buy to have it shipped out for repair.
I hope that this has answered your question. If anything is unclear or if you have any other concerns, please let me know!
