I bought my 65" Sony 930E from a brick and morter Best Buy store back in March. Today it shut off while I was watching tv. I was able to turn it back on a couple of times, but each time it shut itself off after a few minutes.
I don't think I purchased any kind of extra warranty at Best Buy. It is still under warranty through Sony. Is there any point in contacting Best Buy about my issue or should I go straight through Sony?
Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forums!
Having a Samsung 75 inch I can only imagine what I would do if my TV started having issues. If you dont have a warranty with Best Buy thats perfectly fine I would highly recommend having service done by Sony if any issues occur (which I dont think you should run into any) feel free to bring your TV into Best Buy or you can schedule service with Geek Squad. Before doing that though please click here and see if Sony can help you out and setup a Service Agent to come out to the home for free.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to reach back out.

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. Having such a new television stop working on you must be a drag.
For smaller televisions, we can generally send them out to a service center to get repaired under the manufacturer’s warranty. With a big television like yours, however, we wouldn’t be able to send it out. Instead, you’d want someone to visit your home to check it out.
For a Sony television, you’ll want to go directly through them for in-home service. You can reach out to them at 1-800-222-7669 to set up an appointment. Alternatively, they can be reached through their support page.
I hope that helps, and I hope that Sony is able to get your television fixed quickly. If there’s anything else I can help you out with, please let me know.
