Repair service

I I purchased 199.99 plan and was told if you need anything replaced when a computer breaks you pay for the part and we will install it for you, Period. The paperwork that best buy gives you shows no limatations. I ask  MATT of Las Vegas again so you will not charge me labor to have a broken part installed?  He said NO. Ok ill buy your plan. Well I have a Laptop that has started giving me problem where  the Power Supply plugs in not making a proper connection. this is the part i need Laptop DC Power Jack Socket Cable Harness For Toshiba Satellite L505 Series which i found out that i have to buy it from ebay MYSELF and provide it to Best buy to install. Really.

 

I was told they dont carry or order these parts, REALLY!!!  I thought i was in a computer store. Any way Joel at Best Buy in Yuma AZ, found the part on his personal cell phone for a cheap price, Great I said i'll get it and you guys put it in under my plan. He than said Ill be back in a minute, he went into the back and after a few minutes grab a white binder and showed me this book of scans tabs and pointed out LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 REPAIRS. I was told this was a level 2 repair and was not covered by my plan. Level 1 clearly had power supply written on it as i pointed out. He said thats only power supplies on towers that are easy to replace, your laptop has a lot of screws and will require taking several pieces of hardware out to replace the part and because of the difficulty it was a Level 2 and not covered and i would have to pay $60. I believe when JOEL went into the back my repair was discussed and the group decided NO NOT GONNA HAPPEN. I Talked with Joel telling him i feel i was lied to about the plan I bought in Las Vegas and felt i was not getting the service I thought I purchased hoping i could get repair done as my plan describes and as i was told by Matt. I have not posted this on the forum and have not called the store as of yet. Want see what you have to say.  My email is {removed per forum guidelines}

Thank you for joining the Best Buy forum community, though I’m sorry it’s under these circumstances.  I received the private message you sent to one of our other agents with further information regarding what plan you purchased in store so I would be happy to try to assist and shed some light on the situation.

 

In your private message you said that you purchased the 24/7 support which does include Level 1 hardware installations.  Though the parts are not included with this plan, qualified installation costs would be included.  Power supply is a hardware installation that is typically covered in Level 1.  As I have not seen your computer, it’s hard to say why the installation may not have been covered as Level 1 but I would be happy to look into that further.
