Customer service rep:
My dad whom is 80 years old went into the best buy location at 5301 Belt Line rd. Dallas TX 75254 to have his computer fixed. The guy behind the counter explained to him they would "Guarantee" to fix his computer and would have a warranty for a 1year. He paid them $200. My dad was told they were unable to fix his computer because of the brand (HP). They said they would not refund his money back. This is an outrage that the employees would take advantage of an elderly person. My dad was NEVER told he would not get a refund if they could not fix it. If he was told that, he would have never accepted the service. My dad is on a fixed income and cannot purchase a new computer. My dad would like his money refunded. My dad was scammed out of his money. They manager and employees were not helpful. The technology is too advanced these days to be taking money from people without fixing a computer. This is incredibly bad service.
Guarantee Means a "promise" Warranty means a wriiten guarantee. I will continue to file formal compliants, send bad reviews on social media, file with BBB; etc for my dad until he receives his money back. If this company continues to screw people over it will go out of business. No Integrity!!! The only solution is to pay back my dad.

Welcome to our Forum. I appreciate your taking the time to write to us about your Father's recent visit to our Best Buy Prestonwood Geek Squad. I'm disheartened to hear that he had a difficult time getting assistance with his computer. His visit definitely doesn't sound like he experienced the expert level of service we strive to provide every day. I would be happy to help you look in to this to see if I can be of any assistance.
In my experience I haven't heard that we aren't able to provide assistance with a computer simply because of it's manufacturer. I'd like to reach out to the
Best Buy Prestonwood Geek Squad to see if they can provide some more information about this purchase and attempted repair. Could you please send me a private message with some more information about his visit so I could begin to research this. I will need his:
Name of Agent or manager he spoke to
Date and time visited
To send a private message please click the button at the bottom of my post. I look forward to hearing back from you so I can continue to look in to this for you.
