I am having the exact same problem. the LED won't blink. Took it to the genius bar, they confirmed that it was not a software issue but the stylus hardware was malfunctioning and asked me to contact Bamboo support. I requested, but they refused to offer a replacement for the defective stylus they sold me.
I made a mistake and bought the device from Best Buy, as an Amazon Prime member, I should have bought it from Amazon, as their Customer support is unparalleled.

Welcome back to the forums and thanks for the post! I know firsthand that it’s never fun when you have a device that quits working. May I ask how long ago you purchased this from us?
