My switch makes a rattling sound from the cooling fan after a few minutes of play. Is my Switch eligible for an exchange? Is this an issue I should be concerned with?

Welcome to our forums! Although I haven’t purchased a Nintendo Switch myself, it’s definitely been on my radar after its release last year. Ever since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was finally announced, the temptation has become all too real, and I may have to finally take the plunge and pick up a Switch when the game is released this December.
Enough about my future Switch purchase, let’s tackle this question about your purchase, shall we? As the ever-helpful jdogg836 has mentioned, our Return & Exchange Promise does allow you a 15-day return/exchange period, should you find your Switch is acting a bit unusual. You mentioned making this purchase just last week, so you should be within your return/exchange period. If you’re curious as to how to go about returning your Switch, this handy What Are My Return Options? Knowledge Base article may prove useful.
If time happens to slip away from you, and you find yourself outside the return/exchange window, you may be able to utilize Nintendo’s manufacturer warranty, to repair any issues you’re having with your Switch’s cooling fan. If you’re curious as to what is covered by Nintendo’s warranty, you can check out their full warranty coverage text here.
Hope this helps, but if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to visit our Support Forums again.
