I need to file a complaint for my purchase of ipad mini 4

I purchased several ipad mini 4 on bestbuy.com in summer and one of them has a touch screen issue.

I brought it to Apple store for the repairation. However, the assistant there told me that the id that printed on the back of the ipad doesn't match the one with the chip in the machine.

This is the first time that I feel disappointed on bestbuy after I've shopping on bestbuy.com several times. And it's so difficult for me to file the complaint since I'm not in US right now. At least get some agents online chat pls.

Thank you for continuing to make Best Buy your shopping destination, but we're sorry to hear about the problems that are occuring with one of your iPads!  Please forgive the lateness in our reply to you, the holiday volume has us backlogged, and we're doing everything we can to respond as quickly as possible to all of our customer's!

 

With apologies, the only options we would have would be to return to a Best Buy store within the U.S. to work with the Geek Squad.  Knowing this is less than ideal with you current situation of being out of the country, I do hope you're able to get this accomplished here soon!

 

If you have any questions after returning to a store location, it would be our pleasure to take a closer look at that time!  Have a wonderful day!

Hi JJ,

 

Thank you for replying my post. But still, it's very disappointing that after waiting for such a long time, I got an answer that will never work for me.

 

I bought an ipad from Bestbuy and I was expecting that I could have it repaired anywhere just as all other Apple products. Yet Bestbuy sold me an ipad and it's chip id doesn't matches the one printed on the back, and the assistant from Apple store refused to replace the ipad because of this issue. I can't believe I'm asked to return the ipad to a BestBuy store in U.S. to have it replaced. And it's not possible for me to fly back to US for an ipad.

 

I even question that this ipad may be refurbished one since the ids are not matched. And the screen didn't work after only 4 months I purchased this ipad.

 

It's a very disappointing purhcase and I've spent too much time on it. I do hope I can get a better solution here otherwise I will need to ask my friend to file a complaint to Federal Trade Commission.
