I purchased a HP laptop at the end of Feb. 2017 along with the geek squad protection. For me that was a big chunk of money. Less than 2 month later my laptop starts to overheat. They had to replace everything on the inside, then sent me a letter stating that I had used up all my geek squad protection and could no longer use it. First off the repairs should have fallen under a manufactor warranty. My local geek squad agreed but said he couldn't change it. Ever since I got my laptop back I have not been able to remove a USB stick safely and now out of the blue my sound does not work because it says there is no driver installed. I had sound until about 2 days ago. I expected more from Best Buy and their protection which is why I made my purchase from there and not Walmart, but best believe I will not make that mistake again. This laptop is not used very much and is only used for schooling when it is used. I should not have this much trouble after only 4 1/2 months. Working in sales and in obtaining a business degree I know this is not good business practice. I will make sure to dissuade any and every one I come into contact with to not make a purchase from BestBuy and just how lousy their service has become.
