Best Buy should put the number of years that someone is a premier silver memebr on the membership card. It does not need to be continous service. There should be special benefits for 5yr, 10yr, etc as a way to encourage people to meet those milestones.
great idea there definitely needs to be more attention paid to RZ silver members to many times there are posts from them complaining that they fell underappreciated and that's just not right. I'm silver & I love it but I wouldn't mind(I REALLY REALLY WANT MORE) seeing more spending tiers that also means more perks for them as well.
Perhaps it would be worth it to take a gander at the benefits and tiers offered by hotel loyalty programs. Marriott and Hilton have a very effective tiered system that keeps people coming back. Instead of room upgrade we could offer extended Exchange periods, instead of an arrival gift perhaps free or discounted services like Zagg Installation. Offering more than one tier would help us appreciate our more loyal customers, and encourage brand loyalty with more perks. Brand loyalty is no longer on peoples mind unless there is something in it for them, weather it be savings or bonuses offered to them.
Also these benefits require renewal each year in order to keep said benefits, and after being with the program for so long and acquiring so many points of the course of your membership you can receive lifetime status at certain tiers. There is also so many ways you could take advantage of those tiers. As an example; Purchase a 50" TV or larger with 2 year black tie protection and get automatic ___ membership for 18 months, or get 24 months at a different tier with a 4 year plan.

I love this idea. And I think people who make silver deserve to have a special card. I feel as though my issues at times can be brushed aside and take an initative to get things done such as follow through of messed up bbuy.com orders and such.
Nothing irritates me more than knowing I spend that much money a year there and continue to be treated like the 18 year old buying a $7 cd. Sometimes they are treated even better.
Maybe even make a Premium Silver Reward check out line during non busy times. Nothing irritates me more than see three employees by the door security area talking, and I'm stuck behind five people with only 1 line open.

Seems like adding tiers has been requested, requested requested & AGAIN requested in all forms but yet we can't get more. I just don't understand it since it just makes so much sense & can be marketed marvelously.
There's currently 2 Ideax under the same premise-one for a silver tier for RZ GCU & the other would be along the lines of a DVD/CD/Media club. By specializing these you get loyality programs that attract more than just the $2500 spenders since these other program still require quite a bit if spending but since it's on items that would take forever to achieve $2500 spent people would still participate.
