Option for physical rewards cards

I know that MyBestBuy rewards has gone digital now, but please please please let people go online or on the app and request a physical card. Maybe if you're an elite or eliteplus member even have a special one that thanks you and reminds you that you have a 45 day return policy. Why? I use it all the time (I'm an employee) and we have frequent flyers that I have to ask their phone number every time or they still have their old card and will never give it up. It takes the "do you have a rewards account with us?" Question out of a lot of my transactions if the customer is familiar with Best Buy. Enrolling customers with physical cards in store would slow the transactions down for sure, but if customers (and/or employees) want physical cards, I believe there should be an option. A Best buy employee told me that you can request a physical card online and I know I'm not the only person that was told that. I now know that this is not the case, if it ever was. Give us the option, please. If you could tie orders into that, that would also expedite the pick-up process (ID check would come with that of course and that may cause problems). Please consider, and make sure people can see these forum posts. I know that employees get asked for their phone number as well for transactions, and it would make it much easier on us, it would make the customers that want one satisfied and would expedite transactions for those that frequent Best Buy, thanks.

I doubt this will be an option again, but who knows. Would any other My BestBuy members want to have the option to have a physical membership card? Make sure to vote for an idea if you like it.

how about best buy dog tags instead of a card? And only offer it to elite/ elite plus

I can appreciate giving the customer the option to order one.  It's a way to reduce costs because you have to actually go out of your way to request one so it's not like everyone's going to do it and as a prior employee, I too can attest to how awkward it is when someone is going thru every phone number they've ever had because they don't know which one their rewards account is under.  It's made worse when most departments/stores are running on a skeleton crew and thee's a line or during the holidays when there's a much higher volume of traffic and a shortage of patience.

@Hwong As it is I don't think it's right that you have to be a 'big spender' to get a full point per dollar spent and you get short changed on the return period that's standard at most retailers(30 days minimum). @gadgeteer I don't get why people get so impatient so quickly. It's one thing if you've been waiting in line for an HOUR(or more). But I've had people walk up behind me to get in line, wait a minute(at most) and let out a big sigh as if they've been there forever already. Those sort of people need to stick to online shopping whereas I prefer in store shopping since at least there I can get what I feel is a deal versus online.
