In-store Entertainment

Face it, we live in the age of entertainment.  Everyone wants to be entertained; just look at the percentage of americans that get their news from The Daily Show.  However, when I walk into my local BB store, it might as well be a warehouse.  How about a BB branded entertainment channel on a large screen in the store...and streaming on the web site?  I also liked the Coffee idea.  More time in the store equates to more browsing, more interest, and more sales.  Why should I go to a BB store instead of a web site?  Because it's FUN.  Get more FUN into the stores.

Being that I am a big fan of Fun, I couldn't agree more with your idea. Would this Best Buy branded entertainment channel feature already existing entertainment, or are you suggesting we start producing the content ourselves? Does anyone else have any feedback on this idea? Remember to vote for an idea if you like it.

Yes, a Best Buy 'channel' where you can have short interviews with category executives, show off new and innovative products, electronics news, humorous clips, etc.

Given the floor staff isn't knowledgeable about the products, especially electronically related, it would be great to have little videos demo'ing products, features, etc.  I went in to test drive Windows 8, have a friend that works at MS with the Win 8 launch and she said it would frustrate me, but don't give up.  I couldn't figure it out and there was no one knowledgeable around in the middle of the day with an empty store.

So demos would be a welcome addition ONLY if the sound levels in the store can be brought down to a soothing level and not just more competing TVs to be the loudest in the store.

They already have such a feed in the stores. I see it every time I go into a Best Buy.
