Have Geek Squad make a video about hard drive capacity values

We had a post on the forums today where a customer wanted to return an item because they felt that the hard drive space was not matching what was advertised. While we resolved the issue I feel that Geek Squad should do a user friendly video that explains hard drive formatting capacity and the reality of space that is available on the given sizes that are popular on the market. It would help customers to determine what laptop is right for them based on storage capacities.

Prior to learning more about computers, formatting, and hard-drives I also wondered why the actual storage capacity of my computer was not the same as the advertised capacity. There is already a lot of information on this topic out there, and I wonder how many other people believe a video by the Geek Squad would add value on this topic. Why a video rather than a description in writing on their website? I know there's a lot of information to pass along to a customer if you are a sales associate helping a customer purchase a new computer or hard-drive; is there a need to highlight this information at the time of the purchase?

I think try should brand it as Apple has denoting that it is a power of 10 rather than what the term means. Read the back of an Apple product and they state it there. A small denotation on the placard would fit this purpose. Although I don't think that it is all that big of a deal to most consumers. Although the higher capacity disks we start seeing the larger the discrepancies will be. 1 terabyte hard drive is actually about 100 GB short in reality of an actual TB.
