I think Best Buy should have Gold Members, for those people that spend beyond what the silver program offers. The silver program is great and I have been apart of it for a couple of years, it has awesome perks. Gold Members should have better perks, like upgraded shipping on certain items, 35% more points for reward zone and receive frequent coupons and private shopping event experiences and at Christmas time, a separate line for check out for these members.
I would think that if there were a Gold status created, customers who spend beyond the $2,500 tier can enjoy special benefits such as, more bonus points, a certain amount of items online that are order receive free express/expedited shipping any time of year, especially during the holiday season. Maybe too, a bit extreme, but, have a separate line a the customer service counter for quicker check outs during the holiday season. Gold members should have more of a variety of offers and promotions in the store and if they show their gold card, receive an automatic 5%-10% qualifying purchases. It would be great to see this incorporated into a new tier status or if in fact put into the silver status if Best Buy doesn't want to create another tier for Reward Zone.
I fully agree & support this
BB should promote the discounted prices that gold member receive to entice them. People should also be able to earn a higher tier in more than 1 way. Either have promos/incentives that can be reached by supporting other existing deals throughout the year & getting automatically upgraded & participate in a pre-determined number of promos that will again automatically upgrade them. There should be special checkouts available for higher tiered members & early & extended access to deals. Make people that reach these tiers feel so special that they'll spend money not to go back. You could also charge people a fee to recieve the same benefits since a huge purchase may be the difference in joining the program so if they're making one before being a member this will allow them the benefits from day 1. Loyality from day 1 will go along way & bring good word of mouth.
