During the holidays, you allowed Premier Silver members the ability to shop Black Friday deals early.

Why not extend this opportunity to other items.  The New Ipad comes out, a movie (unless of course there are restrictions) and so on. 

This would be a huge benefit and in the case of the Ipad, rather than going to Apple or another website, it keeps the business at Best Buy.

Unfortunately Apple dictates everything regarding the iPad. BBY doesn't know how many they will get until the day before or the day of release. As such an early sale for iPads could be as disastrous as some of the silver members not getting BF deals even though non-silver members got the item when they placed the order 4 days later. But I do see other possibilities. I liked the idea of GCU and the eGC preorder for ME3. Basically those that paid for a gamers club unlocked membership got an additional $10 ($20 eGC total as non members got a $10 eGC)when they preordered Mass Effect 3.

I have to say that with Apple products this just wouldn't be possible, but with other items I can see the value in this. What do other users think about this idea?

It does not have to be on the first day.  I could care less (although I am sure others would) whether I get it on Friday or some other day.  Just the thought of waiting in line is annoying and simply do not have time for it.

I like the idea of ordering it and having it either delivered or just wandering down to my favorite Best Buy and picking it up.
