Allow search on specific physical dimensions

I have been searching for the largest television possible that will fit in my entertainment center.  This means in this case that I need to look at the height and width of televisions to find what I am looking for.

My suggestion is to allow searches on the physical dimensions of a product.  Searching on a range of screen sizes is the closest option available today, but this is not sufficient to solve this type of problem.  The ideal capability would allow the user to specify a maximum dimension or dimensions, and then sort the results based on the selected dimension.

I think with a lot of products this would not be important, but I can see the value in this with TVs. Anyone else like to see this on BestBuy.com?

For me, I'd like a quick way to filter out digital cameras that take AA's.

The budget 36.3mp Nikon D800 takes AA's with an adapter.  This saves me money.

I'm a little bit of a stickler here and usually tell people to not be lazy...like someone calling on the phone and wanting me to tell them every single TV that is on sale.

However, in this case, we do offer search options dealing with dimensions on appliances, so why not TVs?  Would save me a crap ton of time for the rare cases when I have to measure every TV to find the exact dimensions.
