I think it is outragous that best buy offers 3 year financing (36 month) for anything home theater over like 800 dollers but there are people like me that build extreme computers and ever servers that are well over $3,000 and we only qualify for 1 year and a half financing (18 months)
I would be able to build a much nicer computer that is better and more efficient if bestbuy would offer 36 month financing.
I like to build my own computers for myself and other people from ordering all of the parts that i want and i want expensive stuff and i can't afford to buy it because bestbuy doesnt offer and financing deals for computers, it just falls under anything eles $X and over. I am looking at building a $3,000 ultimate computer right now and im not able to because the min payment would be over $160 a month for 18 months where as i could only pay $83 a month for 36 months (thats almost half the price per month)
So come on bestbuy, please dont poop on me so i can build my own custom computer from you guys and give my money to you guys as i love bestbuy. Let us all of 36 month financing for anything computer related thats over so much money.
This is a win-win situation for the consumers of bestbuy as well as bestbuy itself because we are able to get nicer components to build our own custom computer and you will recieve more money from people buying more expensive parts for computer.
Unfortunately, it's not just up to Best Buy to put this in place. HSBC controls a lot of what we can offer in terms of financing options. I'll put this in as one of my widgets when I work tomorrow, though. I'd love to see the 36 month financing for the entire store.
Im aware that HSBC controls the financing but still though, if many people are aware of this as well as people at best buy they could request this to HSBC and it might go into effect.
I agree 36 month on the whole store would be nice.
Well if people were to start liking this then I would contact HSBC and tell them and also give them this link to show that others support this as well.
I contacted HSBC and they told me that they only handle the financing plans that best buy makes up. So bestbuy makes the plans and HSBC just does the money end of the deal so i guess this is the correct place to give this recomendation.
The person i talked to at HSBC suggested me to call bestbuy and talk to a manager about my suggestion and tell them (have not done)
So what do i have to do in order for my 36 month financing suggestion for computers as well as computer components (so people can build there own and not purchase one thats already made that normally sucks) to be heard from somebody at bestbuy that makes up the plans?
@brettgod1355,
I did get your private message, and I apologize if you received any incorrect expectations from HSBC on your idea. I am not aware of any person at Best Buy that would be able to tell one of the largest banks in the world what financing to provide their customers.
I would guess that we would request possible financing options, but it would be up to HSBC if they chose to implement these requests. At this point we would need to hear from other customers on this.
Well hopefully other customers will see this post on here and start liking it. I will try to spread the word out to get people to look at it and possibly like it. Perhaps you could do the same for me and all the other Best Buy customers who would wish to buy / build their own computer and be able to pay it off interest free for an addition year and a half longer then what the current offer is? Thanks anyways ![]()
I am all up for this too. I want to buy a camera worth 3500$. What's keeping me form buying is the 18 month financing. If they offered 36 month, I'd buy it today.
