We established that. Dorothy can have someone do a lil research and see if they can figure out what went on. There is still no way to know on this end if it was an open box item that wasn't marked right or something as the sku would match.

Got an official word from microsoft.

This is XBOX Customer Support.

I understand your concern. Brand new consoles that come out from our warehouses to be marketted are guaranteed scratch free. However, we no longer have control over its welfare the moment it is in the market. We can assure you it's in perfect condition the moment it is out of the factory but the different wholesalers and retailers have their own ways of handling the product. You can always consult with your retailer and they can contact us about a possible compromise.

While it’s possible that you may have purchased two different open box models, it’d be difficult to know for certain without additional information or being physically present at the time of sale/exchange.  I’d be glad to see what can be done to assist you though, so please make sure to check your private messages.  You can check your PMs by signing into the forums and then clicking on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

{Edit} Addendum: Our stores don't sell open box video game consoles, so I'm a bit confused why you would've gotten two scratched Xbox 360s!
