Bullseye !! Typical myopic managerbots. What can this company do for me this week or this month? Never mind about the long term health of the company or maybe even customer satisfaction. (That, Jimmieanon frequent contributor, or whatever your party line name is, is how to retain customers).
Chinese crap Buy is going down. Look at their stock prices. They used to split every so often. Now they are hanging on by their fingernails to stem the tide of losses. They will be pushed over the cliff of bankruptcy soon enough. A buddy of mine just recently dumped his 23k worth odf that stock. He had held it for about six years. Sell, sell ,sell.

What would YOU like the return/exchange policy to be? When would YOU make an exception?

Best Buy's stock was holding steady at $23/share for the last 6 months then it recently rose to $25/share with the announcement of the closing two underperforming stores. Best Buy's stock has only split once in the last 7 years and it was in 2006. I know because I worked there and benefited from it.

Mmm not in yours or my lifetime. Best Buy is in the process of remodelling their business. You should read business news more before posting stuff out of your a$$. Retailers like Walmart and Best Buy have been hoarding cash reserves to ride out the current economic situation. It's how they're adapting that will determine their economic health. I predict that Best Buy will move away from the big box store model and have more of an online presence. Think online company but with thousands of store locations. Amazon is already getting a jump on this idea with their plans to open physical store locations.

I count this as hearsay but I'll play anyway. I'm no business major, but I do understand that the concept of stocks is to buy low sell high...

It is very apparent that you are not a business major. There are these things called stock charts. Look up BBY and notice the trend over the last 2 years. Nearly a 50% decline in stock value.

Hello bcas400c,
Welcome to the Forums.
I’m sorry that you’re having trouble with your computer, especially so soon. We do care that you’re having trouble with your computer and that is part of the reason why we offer help under the manufacturer’s warranty in house. We aren’t able to exchange your computer for you indefinitely and try to offer you return period that’s long enough for you to test it out, but once it’s expired, we would need to explore repair options under HP’s warranty.
Please know that both our Geek Squad and HP are here to make sure your computer gets running back up to speed. As Priscilla has said, HP can assist you by mail. If you elect to submit your computer for repair through us, it will typically take 2-3 weeks for us to ship it to our regional service center, diagnose it, repair it, and ship it back to your local Best Buy.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns along the way.
Regards,
